Because the pages of this sample album have large graphics files, they will load slowly. Unlike the other pages on this site, which were designed to be quick and easy, this sample album is for people with loads of patience and/or fast modems/phone lines. However, if you live out of the area, and want to see my work in depth, looking at this sample album will use less gasoline than a trip to my studio. The wedding weekend started Friday with a rehearsal at All Saints Episcopal Church in Carmel, California. It made sense to cover the rehearsal as a wedding photo-journalist - using a 35mm camera and black and white film. The bride and groom really appreciated the added dimension of black and white wedding photo journalism.

Many couples ask for this trendy approach to wedding photography. But brides and grooms know that a totally photo journalistic coverage will leave out the classic poses that they love. So, I let the families decide on the mix of journalistic and formal poses for the wedding.

When we are laying out the album, we might include a series of black and white images - posed and candid. Often we will create a stunning second album with only black and white photographs.

Children are usually easy to photograph... until they are on the spot as ring bearer or flower girl and don't know when to walk or where they are going. Wedding photo journalism can capture this moment.
